Improving visual quality and the experience of Soaky app. Transforming how listen to podcasts to be more productive
Overview
Soaky is an audio/podcast content summarization app with personalization features. My contribution to this project is as a product designer and UX director. My objective in improving the design of this application is to simplify the appearance of the application based on its main function, namely listening to audio content (podcast) and also the ability to summarize the podcast.

Objective
The purpose of this project is to redesign the old appearance of the application to be more modern and concise and to add some features. In the old design of the application, the interface still looks rigid, which eliminates the enjoyment for users of using the application.

In the new design, stakeholders wanted the app to be similar to standard podcast apps (like Apple Podcast, Spotify, Snipd) and book summary apps (such as Shortform, Blinkist, Headway, etc.). However, the goal isn't to replicate these apps but rather to draw inspiration from apps that deliver audio/video content in different markets.
The Design
Homepage
The homepage is the hub for all the features in the Soaky app. From the directive to add your favorite podcasts to personalizing your summary. On the homepage users can review all activities, trending podcasts to recommended artists and podcasts to listen to based on history.
Personalized Summary
Personalized summary is a feature where the user selects a podcast author and then when the selected author publishes new content (podcast), the Soaky app will automatically summarize the podcast according to the language style/preference to the content of the podcast content that the user wants to learn.Podcast summaries will be provided on a scheduled basis according to the user's preference.

With this feature, users with the aim of getting the key points of the topic discussed in the podcast can use it as learning material or other things of a more educational nature.
Player Page
Freedom of choice to listen to podcasts of original duration or listen to content that has been personalized with user-defined summaries. Users can listen as well as read the transcript of the topic being discussed.
Author Page
Users can visit the author page to view the author's profile, podcast list and also mark the author as a favorite.
Profile & Settings page
Manage summaries, downloaded content, and membership on the profile page. There are also settings for email and changing passwords.
Conclusion
Getting involved in this project was pretty straightforward. Because the product owner in this collaboration has provided a timeline and milestones that need to be achieved before we start the project. We worked quietly because there was no communication that was too intense in this project. Almost all design and UX feedback we put directly to Figma because we don't have a dedicated channel (like slack) to communicate other than email.

So, the only problem I faced in this project was that there were very few collisions and ideas that we could get (due to limited communication). So most of the design and UX proposals were decided by myself, albeit as a result of competitive analysis of similar products on the App Store and Play Store.

Even so, the project went well and was only a week behind schedule. The Soaky app has been updated using the design I created (gradually) on the App Store.
